NKSC’s Cultural Exchange Camp
July 10th, 2014 – July 11th, 2014
North and South Korean students gathered together to go on a two-day Cultural Exchange trip. This summer getaway was attended by students from Shin-Nam High School, and volunteer defector university students!
The group visited the Korean War and DMZ Museum, and students were able to share experiences and opinions.
After a day full of activities, the students relaxed with a barbecue dinner!
The students were divided into groups for a bit of healthy competition – students were asked to dip their hands into song-writing, adding their own lyrics to popular songs.
The short but exciting Cultural Exchange camp helped to establish bridges between the North and South Korean students – these two days also helped us to realize that though from two strikingly different places, there existed bonds of connection.
